From the BMC Toys CLASSIC TOY SOLDIERS COLLECTOR SERIES, the AMERICAN CIVIL WAR ARTILLERY TRANSPORT SET includes cannon, caisson, limber, and 6 horse team that measures almost 2 feet long (22.5 inches) when everything is hitched together. The set can also be configured with three 2 horse teams. The cannon features 3 different barrel options and ramrod and worm that stow on the chassis. Barrels options include 12 pound, 24 pound, and 3 inch rifled ordnance. Caisson includes mounted spare wagon wheel. Limber and caisson feature removable crates with opening lids. Colors include off-white, black and brown horses, black barrels, ash-brown chassis, charcoal-gray wheels and feature smooth rolling metal axles. Barrels are made from stiff ABS plastic, horses are made from fairly stiff HDPE plastic, and chassis and wheels are made from soft plastic. Wagons measures up to 2.55 inches tall x 5.45 inches long and 2.75 inches wide and all pieces are approximately 1:32 scale. These pieces were initially offered to hobby collectors by Classic Toy Soldiers Company in the 1990s and are designed to be compatible with Louis Marx & Company Blue & Gray Battle Sets of the 1950s, 1960s & 1970s. Classic Toy Soldiers Co. worked with BMC Toys to make these miniatures available to today's youngsters.
