From the BMC Toys CLASSIC TOY SOLDIER COLLECTOR SERIES, one of the most iconic vehicles of WW2. The WW2 M3 HALFTRACK features rolling wheels with metal axles 4 figures, and weapons. This Armored personnel carrier has lots of authentic details including side and rear mounted 30 caliber M1919 Browning machine guns that swivel, and front pulpit mounted .50 caliber Browning M2 heavy machine gun. Figures stand up to 1.93 inches tall and include standing machine gunner, kneeling side gunner, seated rifleman, and non-removable driver. Accessories include 2 rifle racks and 2 ammo cans. Vehicle is made from stiff od-green color ABS plastic, measures 2.4 tall x 2.3 inches wide x 6.75 inches long. Soldier figures and accessories are made from soft od-green color plastic. Vehicle and figures are approximately 1:38 scale. The M3 Half Track was an improved version of the M2 Half Track, which was based on the White Motor Company's M3 Scout Car. It was designed as an artillery tractor that could handle wet ground better, but was used for many purposes, Over 50,000 were produced from 1941 to 1945 and were used by the United States, Britain, and the Soviet Union in WW2. After the war the the M3 Halftrack saw service around the world through the end of the Cold War era. These half-track vehicles were initially offered to hobby collectors by Classic Toy Soldiers Company around 1998. Classic Toy Soldiers Co. worked with BMC Toys to make them available to today's youngsters. BMC Toys was founded by Bill McMaster in 1991 and specializes in producing historically accurate plastic army men figures and playsets in the classic realistic style of the 1950s and 1960s. These vehicles are a perfect addition to any WW2 playset. Packaged in plain white box with label and recommended for ages 5 and up.
