BMC CTS WW2 Japan Chi-Ha Tanks - Tan 2pc 1:38 Plastic Army Men Japanese Vehicles
From the BMC Toys CLASSIC TOY SOLDIER COLLECTOR SERIES, the most widely deployed tanks of the Imperial Japanese Army. This pair of WW2 TYPE 97 CHI-HA TANKS feature lots of authentic detail. The turrets rotate and the hull have printed insignia of the Japanese Imperial Army. Tank is made from stiff tan color ABS and Polypropylene plastic, measures 2.44 inches wide x 2.35 inches tall x 5.6 inches long and is approximately 1:38 scale. This tank's official designation is Kyūnana-shiki chū-sensha Chi-ha (1937's medium tank model 3). Approximately 1,162 were produced from 1938 to 1942. They were first deployed in the Second Sino-Japanese War, then the Battles of Khalkhin Gol against the Soviet Union, and finally against the Allies in WW2. These tanks were initially offered to hobby collectors by Classic Toy Soldiers Company around 1996. Classic Toy Soldiers Co. worked with BMC Toys to make them available to today's youngsters. BMC Toys was founded by Bill McMaster in 1991 and specializes in producing historically accurate plastic army men figures and playsets in the classic realistic style of the 1950s and 1960s. These vehicles are a perfect addition for playsets and school project dioramas of many historical conflicts of the 20th century including World War II and the Korean War.
