BMC Classic MPC Revolutionary War Colonial Soldiers - Plastic Army Men Figures
From the CLASSIC ARMY MEN COLLECTOR SERIES, BMC Toys brings 1776 (and 1976) to the 21st century. The American Revolutionary War Colonial Soldiers 33 piece set includes 30 figures in 10 different poses and 3 horses. Troops stand up to 2 inches tall and are made from slightly stiff Blue color HDPE plastic with just a little flashing. Horses are all the same pose standing 2.6 inches tall x 3.25 inches long (including tail) x .6 inch wide (at saddle). Made from slightly stiff White color HDPE plastic with a little flashing. These horses are hollow underneath and the inside legs are flat with molded-in saddles and reins details. All pieces are approximately 1:40 scale. These toy soldier figures were first offered by MPC (Multiple Products Corporation) in the mid-1960's and were offered as bagged sets and also included in a Battle of Bunker Hill boxed playset. In 1976, they were featured in a 'Fort Ticonderoga' playset that was made in honor of the American War for Independence Bicentennial. The horses were produced by LIDO around the mid-1950s and are a good fit for the mounted MPC Officer. This new production is manufactured using the original molds. Perfect for a historical diorama, as a stand alone miniature playset, or a welcome addition to any 1:40 scale American War for Independence collection. This is a set of real American Made toys, meant to be set up, knocked over, picked up, and played with for many years to come. Packed in polybag bag with insert card and recommended for ages 5 and up.
