BMC Toys: To rescue George Washington and the Rough Riders

Way back in 2015 when I began the process of purchasing BMC Toys, I was given a list of 'Active' molds. The list included everything that was in the BMC Toys product line in 2014, but was missing some items that had been discontinued for a few years. I already knew that the molds for the original Alamo, Yorktown, Gettysburg and Little Big Horn playsets would not be part of the sale (but that's another story). What I wondered is what happened to the molds for the "Battle of San Juan Hill" and the "US Presidents Series #1"? After some...

BMC Toys: New Production - Round 2

Our second new production of BMC Toys is currently on a ship headed for California and should be at our warehouse in Ohio early by March. Our first new production of BMC Toys finally arrived last September, and by the end of October I realized there was a problem. The D-Day Invasion of Normandy sets would sell out before the end of November, with Utah Beach and some other items not too far behind. I had planned on possibly placing another factory order in January, but that would mean production wouldn't happen until after Chinese New Year and wouldn't arrive...

BMC Toys: Christmas Stock and New Production Update

The new batch of BMC Toys has been so well received I'm already finalizing a new production order that should arrive around February 2018. D-Day Normandy sets will likely sell out by early December, and Utah Beach might run out before Christmas. It's too early to tell if anything else in the new lineup will run out before the big day, but I'll do my best to keep the blog posted with regular stock updates as the holiday shopping season progresses. A couple of new items will likely be added to upcoming production, including a new Barn Red color variant...

BMC Toys: Oh Canada , Olive Green with Envy, & That IS a big knife.

The new production of BMC Toys has been in stock for just a short time and thankfully, the products are just as popular as ever. Item #40009 D-Day Normandy Playset will likely be out of stock very soon, and #40027 Utah Beach will probably run out before Christmas. I'm already working on a BMC Toys restock order to arrive as early as February 2018. Along with restocks of the current lineup, I'm considering a couple of new items, and reissuing an older one. First new potential item is a Canadian and German WW2 Soldier 31 piece bagged figure set. The Canadians...

BMC Toys: It's a Gray Day, but Cleveland still Rocks.

Where the heck is that is new batch of BMC? Well, as of right now it's in Cleveland. The container arrived in C-Town by train yesterday and is waiting for a truck to deliver to our warehouse in Akron next week. I know, it seems like it's taking forever, but we're in the home stretch now. Another milestone is all the BMCToys.com product photos and descriptions have been updated. You can now click on the product photos for a large popup of the image instead of the smaller zoom effect that was in place before. Here's some more factory floor...
