BMC Toys: Changing of the Guard

The new batch of BMC Toys should be in stock within the next couple of weeks. This is the first production since I purchased BMC Toys from the family of Bill McMaster following his untimely passing in late 2014. The new production was overseen by Bill's 25+ year business partner, Thomas Leung, and manufactured in the same factory that has been producing the line for over 20 years. BMC Toys Production: Tanks' for all the help

The new batch of BMC Toys is almost ready. We often think that plastic items like toy soldiers and tanks are churned out by machines, but there's a surprising amount handwork that often has to be done to finish the item. Here's some photos of the BMC Toys tank in production, starting with Sherman Tank bodies getting trimmed off sprues: A bin of Sherman Tank bodies ready for final assembly: Bins of German King Tiger Tank parts ready for assembly: German King Tiger Tank assembly:   Assembled and ready for final packaging:

BMC Toys Production: A Sticky Situation

Here's a first look production stickers for the new batch of BMC Toys. I put a lot of research into the new sticker art to make them as historically accurate as possible, but there is some artistic license here and there as needed.
